What is meditation and why practice it

Meditation is defined as training the mind to focus and redirect thoughts. Meditation can take different forms and various definition. You can practice meditation sitting on a cushion, chair, or couch. You can practice meditation while moving, such as during a run, walk, bike ride, swimming or other physical activity. You can even practice meditation when you are working on your car, baking a cake, or cleaning your house.

These activities can calm your emotions, help process the various thoughts, and dissipate or change energy in the body. Without even realizing it, by guiding your mind to focus on a specific task you are beginning a mindfulness journey

Meditation can bring awareness to the present moment and cultivates a sense of calm and clarity amidst the chaos of the day. By taking a few minutes each day to meditate, you can reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance your overall mental and emotional state.
