Retreat Schedule
A detailed overview of the daily activities planned for the Awakening Performance Retreat. Full agenda will be shared prior to the retreat.
Day 1 begins with arrival and check-in, followed by the opening session at 6:00 p.m. The evening sets the tone for the retreat by reviewing the weekend agenda, expectations, and shared objectives, establishing psychological safety and focus from the outset.
Participants are then introduced to why this work matters. We examine the urgency trap, safety bias, and the impact of stress on decision-making, followed by an introduction to analytical meditation and how it awakens three modes of thinking essential for clarity under pressure. The G.E.A.R. framework is introduced as the primary decision tool for the retreat, including how it will be used to work through real challenges. The session closes with learning the meditation reset methods that will be used throughout the weekend and a guided personal reflection to identify the problem, challenge, or decision currently weighing most heavily on each participant’s mind.
End the day with yoga for sleep or networking activity.
Day 2 begins with a light continental breakfast and coffee, followed by an optional morning activity. Participants may choose a mindful walk with Lisa or a morning meditation with Rasha to ground attention and prepare for focused work. The morning continues with a structured reflection to establish presence, complete a clarity check-in, share insights one-on-one, and set a clear intention for the day.
The core of the day focuses on reactive decision-making and safety bias, exploring how these patterns quietly shape choices under pressure. Participants work through two guided scenarios using the G.E.A.R. framework. The first emphasizes recognizing personal bias and reactivity, supported by small group discussion and individual reflection on what patterns are interfering with their own real-world challenge.
The second scenario deepens application by working explicitly with Fact, Assumption, and Story, and introducing the Wild Idea as a tool to disrupt constrained thinking. Group discussion and personal reflection focus on identifying which narratives or assumptions are limiting progress and whether an unconventional idea could unlock a cleaner path forward. The day closes with an evening group reflection, shared learning, Q&A, and an optional evening activity. Yoga for sleep or networking to support integration and connection.
Day 3 opens with a light continental breakfast and coffee, followed by an optional mindful walk or morning meditation to ground attention and transition into the final day. A morning reflection and mindfulness meditation help participants settle, reconnect to their intention, and prepare for focused integration.
The day centers on releasing the pressure to build a full solution and instead prioritizing clarity through sequencing and next steps. Participants work through a final scenario using the G.E.A.R. framework, with a deliberate focus on identifying and committing to one meaningful action that improves accuracy or reduces risk. Group discussion reinforces how simplicity, not speed, creates momentum under pressure.
The retreat closes with a gratitude practice and guided reflection on what each participant plans to carry forward into their work and life, followed by 30 minutes of sharing and integration. A final personal reflection invites participants to identify the pressure interfering with their decision-making and name one clear next step to restore clarity. Lunch, informal reflection, networking, and departure follow. The retreat adjourns at 12:00 p.m. with optional open reflection or 1×1 time with facilitators until 2:00 p.m.
FAQs
This retreat is designed for leaders, professionals, and high performers who regularly operate under pressure and make complex decisions. It is especially relevant for executives, founders, advisors, and anyone navigating high-stakes responsibility, cognitive load, or persistent decision fatigue.
This is a performance and decision-making retreat. While mindfulness and meditation are used, they are applied as practical tools to improve clarity, reduce reactivity, and strengthen judgment in real-world scenarios. The focus is on outcomes, not relaxation.
You will work on both. Structured scenarios are used to build skill and pattern recognition, and dedicated reflection time allows you to apply the G.E.A.R. framework and clarity resets directly to your own current challenge, decision, or problem.
No prior experience is required. All practices are guided and designed for busy professionals. The techniques are practical, time-bound, and focused on decision clarity rather than long-form meditation.
You will leave with a repeatable decision-making framework, increased awareness of your reactive patterns and biases, and a clear next step on a real challenge you are facing. Participants consistently report regained mental bandwidth, improved confidence in decision-making, and greater calm under pressure.
Transportation and flights to and from the retreat are not included. Participants will receive a group discount rate for accommodations for Friday and Saturday, which will be shared after registration. Retreat registration is completed separately, and participants will receive a follow-up email with instructions to finalize their enrollment. Refund and cancellation requests must be received at least 30 days prior to the retreat start date to accommodate waitlist participants.
The ROI shows up in improved decision quality, reduced reactivity, and regained mental bandwidth in high-stakes situations. Participants leave with a practical framework they can apply immediately to real decisions, helping reduce costly errors, delays, and cognitive drag that quietly undermine performance over time.
The retreat begins with check-in and an opening session on Day 1 at 6:00 p.m. and concludes on Day 3 at 12:00 p.m. with optional reflection time until 2:00 p.m. Daily sessions are structured with intentional breaks, reflection time, and optional morning and evening activities to support focus and integration without cognitive overload.
